I had a fantastic time staying at Che Lagarto Hostel. The location was perfect, with the subway station and the beach just a short walk away. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. One highlight of my stay was the Favela Tour they arranged for us, allowing us to explore a different side of Rio. I would definitely recommend this hostel for a fun and convenient stay.

There were a few aspects of the hostel that could have been improved. there were no padlocks provided for the lockers.

One positive aspect of the hostel was that we were given a room with only two other people instead of the expected four. This provided a bit more privacy and comfort. Additionally, the location of the hostel was quite convenient, as it was only a short walk to the beach and surrounded by supermarkets and easy access to public transportation. Although there were a few advantages, they were overshadowed by the numerous negative aspects of my stay at this hostel.

The first thing that ruined my stay at the hostel was the constant noise from other guests. Groups of people would run up and down the stairs, yelling and partying until the early hours of the morning.

The location of the hostel is amazing, just 2 blocks from the beach, near a supermarket, restaurants, and the subway station. The rooms have comfortable beds with lockers for each guest. The staff is friendly and supportive, and the hostel is clean all the time. The rooftop chillout area is a nice spot to relax. Excellent breakfast.

The location of the hostel is perfect, with easy access to Rio Sul shopping centre in Botafogo and Cardeal Arco Verde subway station. It is also situated in a great neighborhood and close to the beach. Plus, the breakfast provided is plentiful and the staff are very helpful to first-time visitors to Rio.

The showers in the ladies dorm room were small and the doors didn't work very well.
